CASWELL-the pinnace of our summer!!!! Every summer, we go with our youth group to a camp called Caswell at the beach and do different mission service groups and it's SOOO much fun!! Heres our timeless pics from THIS year!!
Here's Kirby and Logan chillin on the only sweet 4 HOUR trip down to Oak Island where caswell is at...be careful which van you choose to ride in our you could be in for a veeeery long haul!!
This is the first night when we were waiting in line at the dining hall to get our grubb on and its just a random shot of our group, minus the half that the scanner decided to cut off...It seems to me that our youth group must just be the coolest ever because everybody copies EVERYTHING we do!! This was the age of the "dingo song" (going something like "myyyyyy bay-be's gOt a din-GO, got a din-GO, got a din-GO") and the ever-regining MUH and that very cool Lorraine noise thing..UHhuhHUHhuhHUH!! so we were doing it and by the end of the night at hatch, the little evening worship thing they have there, lots of random people were like singing OUR songs!! How awesome are we?!
So you KNOW that Cody just HAS to be camper of the week so he immediately starts sucking up to the cafeteria girls and SWEEPING after meals in order to achieve this goal
So the next morning we got our places for the week and me and Laura were once again, lucky enough to be together!! :) We got our first choice, backyard bible club again just like last year!! But this time it was MUCH different!! We thought we would be in like, a trailer park like last year but this year we got to be in a nice, air conditioned church helping with their VBS because of their "lack of workers" but just barely!! it was either we were in that last group or in the hot sun doing car wash!! but we were lucky!! That's bolivia baptist church that we worked in...
This was priceless...two of the girls in our group did the daily puppet show for the VBS program which was some kind of mountain theme and the little spokesperson/animal this year was CLIFF THE GOAT!! They had possibly the MOST ANNOYING song i have ever heard there to go with the VBS theme that went something like "Say 'hi' to Cliff the goat [hi cliff!!] and tell your friends hello [hello!!] now do the dosey-do, around and round weee gooo" it was hysterical that stupid song...ask and me and Laura will sing it fo ya sometime ;)
So after we got back from our worksites, which in our case was at about 12:30 we had free time til dinner, which was at like 5:30 or 6 so we would sometimes play putt putt at the caswell putt putt place as Cody and Justin demostrate here...
Cody about to take a putt in his desperate efforts to defeat Logan, Laura and I but in the end, I WON!! :) hehehe
Here's Randy, AKA Randolph Harris Jr., at the pool, one of the biggest afternoon free time hang outs, along with the less than admirable caswell beach, which was really groove!! He's lookin pretty groovy with that hair!!
Jessie and Nicole at the pool...
Me and Laura chillin at the pool...these cousinly pictures are nice haha!!
Cody doing the little rob and putting his hands under his "muscle" to make it look bigger....could have only been learned from BIG ROB!!
Cody and Elizabeef at the pool...such an interestion combination...
Laura and two other girls in our missions group at Bolivia
One afternoon me and Laura decided to go to one of Cody's little performances at caswell and here he is doing some little play...(we espically liked those oversized bugs in the background)
Here's Allison doing Nicole's hair for our night out
So, its the night of caswell when we go out to eat, instead of staying at caswell and eating...THAT food and we get all kinda dressed up nice and stuff which is at least a 3 or 4 hour event for the girls and were all just about ready and some lady comes into our barracks and says "hey, is anybody from Guilford in here?" and i was closest to her and so i was like, "yeah, i am" and she said "well there's somethin' out here i think you should see..." so i was kinda like huh?? but i went out there and in the huge mud puddle infront of the girls barracks is Cody, covered in mud and just playin around and i'm like OOOMG so i like RAN back into the barracks and was yelled "CAMERAS!!!!" and so all the girls first ran outside to see what was the matter and then they ran back for cameras...shoulda taken my word for it...so we were all out on the balcony al dressed up or half-way at least taking pictures of him in the rain and mud!! Then we informed him that we were going out to eat and he had 15 minutes to be ready so he played awhile and then finally got ready and was suprisingly enough on time!!
 Never a boring minute, never!!
Me and Laura ready to go!! It's one of our few ~good....ish~ pictures!!
Here's me with Amber and Alisa, two girls from my VBS group at Bolivia on the last day
Here's the 5th grade teacher at Bolivia that Laura worked with...his name is Mr. Mo and thats basically why we took this pic is cuz cody has some kind of joke with a Mr. Mo from like the simpsons or something....
Our whole missions team at Bolivia Baptist before leaving for the last time :(
So were headin home again...and as always made our stop to the little gas station near caswell to wash the vans off...so here's good 'ol big rob moving the vans...hes SOOOOO coooool!!!!!!!!
OK so this picture didnt scan well and it seriously takes away from the effect but this is our group photo under "THE STORE" and that's what everybody is pointing up to beacuse its just like THE store at the little gas station and we find it humorous...Soooo that was Caswell 2002!! It wuz a blast!! :)
